Each reservation includes a hand-thrown ceramic bowl made by Oakland potter Sarah Koik (yours to keep) filled with one serving of porridge plus a hand-dyed napkin/tea-towel (also yours to keep!) and a small cider or chai.
Nordic inspired porridge made by chef and Rooted Food founder, Kristen Rasmussen de Vasquez. All produce locally sourced. Vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Choose from:
-Millet and chicken tamari: Seared radish, crackling and wood sorrel sauce.
-Buckwheat, greens and goat gouda: Soft-cooked egg, crispy shallots, and pea shoots.
-Heirloom mixed-grain and rhubarb-apple crisp: Cardamom, yogurt, molasses and bay nut.
Bespoke table setting available for purchase on the day of the event includes custom cast metal spoons by jeweler Christy Natsumi, a set of cloth napkins/tea-towels hand embroidered by Nadia Lachance and beeswax candles made by Lauren DiCioccio. Spoons, linens and candles are extremely limited editions, made specifically for this one-time collaborative table setting and communal meal.
